Description
Runt squares was one of our first crispbreads, baked in the 1930s and relaunched in 1990. To make the cake checkered, the dough is nailed with a special rolling pin. The loaves rise and form airy cushions, making the bread particularly tender and crisp. The square bread is especially good for breaking into fillets and soups. If you haven’t tried it with strawberries and milk, do so.
